What are we fishing for?
The Mississippi River from Elk River to St. Cloud has some of the best smallmouth bass fishing Minnesota has to offer. Smallmouths aggressive behavior paired with current from the Mighty Mississippi makes for a one-of-a-kind fishing experience. If the topwater bite is on, you won't want to miss out! Smallmouth Bass are one of the most abundant species in the river, but it is not uncommon to catch a variety of things like Walleye, Northern Pike, Suckers, Catfish, Carp and Muskie. One of the most exciting things about the Mississippi River is you never know what is on the end of your line!
