Lover of water.  Moving, flowing, rain, lakes, rivers, oceans.  It's a beautiful thing.

Fishing has been part of my life for a long time.  Now I use it as a tool to help, mentor and teach others.

Jesus became a part of my life in August of 2012.  This personal relationship has opened doors and provided many opportunities to serve, mentor, teach, encourage and help others.

I am not a Christian because I am perfect, I am a Christian because I am imperfect and acknowledge that I need help to be better!

• Something about Al, his enthusiasm, and willingness to teach people how to fish always hit me.  We can take people fishing for a day and they will catch fish.  But utilize the resources and time we have to teach them and give them the ability to do it on their own is a real gift. 

 Popular Chinese Proverb “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” 

• Favorite Al Lindner speech is when he showed up on stage with a golf club at the NPAA conference.  You know what the problem is?  These things!  As he tossed the club across the stage.  Too many businessmen golfing and not fishing!  That's why Walmart sells ice scoops in Texas.

Family, Faith, Fishing, Food, and Friends 

• God is number one and provides for our opportunities.
• Wife, Jennifer.  We have been married for 25 years.
• Organizing Teams/Events  - I am an idea guy.  Bass Team, Banquets, Fishing Events. If you can get volunteers excited about what you are doing, they are excited to help.  Build it and they will come!
• Fishing - I have always loved fishing.  But I do not do it as much as people think.  I honestly enjoy organizing the bass team, helping non-profits and getting as many kids/parents/families involved in the outdoors as I can.  It goes back to having the passion to provide the opportunities to others.
• Giving - My wife Jennie and I have concluded in our life that we are givers.  We enjoy giving of our time and resources to help others.  This is an extension of our faith.
•  Cooking - Not Baking  Good Food and the experience of a shared meal is importange to me!

• 2017 to Present | Becker High School Bass Team | Established in 2017.  Currently head coach and president of the board of directors.
• 2020 to Present | Legacy Fishing Retreats | Current Board Member  Legacy Fishing Retreats is an incredible Christian Non-Profit with volunteers who spend their time taking people fishing.  
• 2018 to Present | MN Adult Teen Challenge |  Mentoring and Supporting Youth and Adults in the 13 month drug and alcohol rehab program.   We also fish and support this organization at the yearly Minnesota Fishing Challenge on Gull Lake in June.
• 2001 to 2008 | Ducks Unlimited |  Regional Chair  Oversaw 3 Seperate Charpters.  President of Becker Big Lake Chapter hosting 3 events each year including fundraising banquet, sponsor banquet and Clay Target Shooting event.
